With approximately 7.5 million street lights in the UK alone, new technology to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions has long been awaited. Here at Harvard Engineering, we have spent 8 years developing our revolutionary new LeafNut monitoring and control system, which has already won a string of awards. The industry leading control system is also helping to dramatically reduce the estimated 830,000 tonnes of CO² produced in the UK every year by street lighting.
LeafNut is already operational in a number of towns and cities across the UK, Europe and Worldwide, as local authorities aim to cut their spending on street lighting by an estimated 40%.
